Professional Bio
Dr Al-Kaisey is a consultant cardiologist and electrophysiologist at Western Health. He completed his PhD and electrophysiology fellowship at The Royal Melbourne Hospital under the supervision of Professor Jonathan Kalman and Professor Peter Kistler. His PhD studies focused on the impact of atrial fibrillation on cognitive function and psychological distress. He was awarded the Young Investigator award at CSANZ in 2021 and was the runner up Young investigator at APHRS in 2022. Following his PhD, he undertook a 12 months fellowship at St Bartholomew’s Hospital in London, UK under the mentorship of Professor Richard Schilling.
