Dr Adrian Elliott

Professional Bio
Dr Elliott is a National Heart Foundation Future Leader Fellow who runs the Integrative & Exercise Physiology group within the Centre for Heart Rhythm Disorders at the University of Adelaide, Royal Adelaide Hospital and SAHMRI. His research includes clinical trials on the benefits of exercise and lifestyle modification for patients with cardiac arrhythmias, methods to evaluate the presence of an atrial cardiomyopathy and heart failure in patients with atrial fibrillation, and the development of AF in endurance athletes. Dr Elliott manages a team that includes multiple PhD students, postdoctoral and clinical fellows, and holds a faculty appointment in the Adelaide Medical School. His current research is funded by the Heart Foundation, MRFF and the Hospital Research Foundation.
