Dr Nick Lan MBBS (Hons), MClinUS, MClinRes (Dist), MSc, FRACP is a Cardiologist in the Cardiometabolic service of Fiona Stanley Hospital and Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Western Australia. His expertise is in preventive cardiology and cardiometabolic medicine, having undertaken a Clinical Fellowship in Endocrinology and Diabetes and a Master of Science in Preventative Cardiovascular Medicine. Nick has completed a Master of Clinical Research with Distinction and was a recipient of the WA Health Research Fellowship. He has published a book chapter on lipids in diabetes and >90 peer-reviewed journal articles (>50 first author). Nick is a Section Editor for Heart, Lung and Circulation and serves on the Clinical Council for the Australian Atherosclerosis Society. He was awarded the Strachan Memorial Prize (Raine Medical Research Foundation) for the best published research by an early-career clinical researcher, and his current research is supported by the WA Future Health Research and Innovation Fund.
